The Hard Problem of Consciousness
David Chalmers and the Mystery of Experience
In this lecture, we will discuss consciousness and David Chalmers' famous distinction between easy problems and the hard problem, ie. that of subjective experience. We will introduce the concept of Qualia, become familiar with the "Mary's Room" thought experiment, discuss philosophical zombies, and panpsychism.
